What to learn from Michelangelo and boost your Innovation skills

One of the key issues that grant proposal developers experience and in many cases face many difficulties to address successfully is how to be or become innovators. You may have written a perfect proposal in regards to impact, workplan, dissemination, exploitation, sustainability but in most of the cases if you fail to show what makes your proposal distinct and innovative, then your proposal will not get funded. This is not only applicable in highly innovative programmes such as Horizon 2020 or Erasmus plus but also in almost all european funding programmes. Check any european funded programme and you will realise that one of its key success criteria is the Innovation or excellence part. How innovative your idea is, how innovative your approach is, how innovative your consortium is, how innovative your tools are, how innovative your team is, etc. In one of my previous articles, Innovators are made and not born! Learn How! I have highlighted the 5 key skills that innovators should master in order to be great in their area as well as what they need to do to improve them! In this article/video, I am actually showing with real examples how the great artist Michelangelo managed to become one of the most well known artists and also possibly the best in his craft by just applying just one thing! It is just a 5 minutes video that was recorded during my last visit at musee d’Orsay (Museum of Orsay) in Paris but I was really inspired by the exhibits and I am sure you will enjoy it. I am revealing to you what is the key element that you need to model from Michelangelo in order to develop winning grant proposals.

In the video, I keep on saying that you can see the David statue at the bottom but during editing, I realised that it is better to include it along the video in the same screen for your convenience. I am sure you will like it better like that. Furthermore, I have a present for you.
