Act intelligently now for exploiting Horizon Europe successfully

Horizon 2020 is almost over and all the research and innovation community in Europe and beyond is looking forward to its successor, namely Horizon Europe. The fist calls are expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2021 and the one-million question is what you should do NOW in order to exploit successfully the largest R&I programme.

What we learned from Horizon 2020 is that in addition to the big players in European R&I funding (e.g. UCL, Imperial College, Fraunhofer, Max Plank, CNRS, etc), a lot of small but intelligent actors exploited successfully Horizon 2020 and actually more than 5000 organisations joined for the first time a successful Horizon 2020 grant project the last year of the programme (Source: Horizon Dashboard).

Many of those actors actually are small SMEs, or universities with low research capacity and performance. However, they acted intelligently and they will follow the same recipe for Horizon Europe. One of the key parts in their strategy is to get involved as partners in promising consortia that prepare proposals for Horizon Europe and they will do that in an intelligent and effective way as follows below:

First of all, they will act pro-actively and get involved in Horizon Europe as early as possible. This means that they will not wait for the official publication of the first calls in Horizon Europe but they will start working already based on the final drafts of the workprogrammes that already have been circulated.

Secondly and most importantly, they will work on their network and strengthen it with key actors that have been quite successful in Horizon 2020 in the same research and innovation area that they are active also. Now it is the best period to enhance your network that there are no calls open (just a few like the Green Deal call). Therefore, in the next video, I provide a simple but very effective strategy on how to do that with amazing results very quickly. The video was produced from my recent trip to La Reunion in order to provide training from MSCA to collaborative projects for Horizon Europe to stakeholders on behalf of NEXA agency. (BTW: The NEXA team is doing great work and you should contact them – cellule.europe@nexa.re for discussing together how to involve high calibre researchers in many different fields from this beautiful island that belongs to France but it is located in the Indian Ocean. )

Based on the above and considering also that my mission is to transform individuals into better professionals and persons via training and coaching, I have decided to give the opportunity to all those that wish to transform their lives by giving them access to my monthly training courses as well as one-to-one live coaching remotely with me and my team every month for up to 30 minutes via my Funding Expert Accelerator programme. And all these for just 97 EUR! My ambition is to transform the lives of individuals even if that means a loss from my side but I strongly believe that this stayhome restrictions due to #coronavirus is a unique opportunity for bonding with our family and also becoming better professionals and persons! No-one has an excuse not to do it anymore.
